The Science Park of Moscow State University set up in 1992 by Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and Risk Investment Company (RICO) with sponsorship of Russian Federation Ministry of Science and Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovation Enterprises.
The Science Park itself is situated in a picturesque area of Moscow - near the MGU Botanical Garden on the Vorobievy Hills. The trip from the center of the city to the Science Park takes about 20 minutes if the Berezhkovsky Bridge that now is open is used. If central transportation system is used, you should exit on the University station and then - about 10 minutes by bus or trolley bus. The first row of building (eight two-floor buildings) are exploited since 1993-1998. Now 38 companies are situated there, also there is space for offices, laboratories and production areas.
The Science Park (SP) aims at all-round assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as small and medium-size businesses in the high-tech area.
In 1998 - 1999 within the limits of the federal interdepartmental program for the activation of the innovational activity in the Russian Federation, the new building
of the informational technology center was built.
The Science Park today means 11,500 sq. m. Of rental space, 40 small innovation businesses and 2500 personnel, most of these graduates, undergraduates, graduate students and professors of Moscow State University.

In 2000 the Science Park was the first Russian organization to receive the certificate of State and Public Accreditation.
